Beautiful pattern of scales on this night visitor to my verandah. A very healthy relatively young 6 foot carpet snake. They are common here and ofter live in the ceilings of our houses hunting small rodents. They are non venemous constrictor pythons and can grow a lot larger. They are not aggressive and will only give a non-toxic bite if provoked. This one moved slowly into a small tree next to the verandah railing and stayed to be photographed for about 30 mins.I put this image up for the beautiful greys and irridenscent blues in the abstract pattern. It would look great framed up to all but the largest size with or without a mat. It would also look good 'gallery mounted' on stretched canvas without a frame.
