Camelus dromedarius
DROMEDARY the common Arabian one humped camel. Here presented against a black background in poster format entitled Camelus dromedarius the scientific name of the animal some say was designed by a committee. These animals were imported into Australia as pack animals and used by some early explorers and now are feral in the Australian Outback in numbers of 700,000 or so.
