The original now in a private collection is a mixed media work on paper using water-colour acrylics and some pastel.It is a colorful rendition of one of the well know coral reef species called trigger fish because the prominent spine at the front of the dorsal fin locks into its erect position and can wedge the fish into coral reef crevices making it difficult for predators to extract them.
